Taniyah Williams is from Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated from Lawrence Central High School before beginning a degree in political science at Ball State University on a full ride scholarship. She enjoys dressing nice and looking fresh, while still working hard in academics and athletics! Taniyah became interested in foster advocacy when she transitioned into foster care and first hand experienced hardships dealing with the system. She wants to use her voice to empower other youth with stories like hers to use their voice as well! She hopes through her FosterClub work, she’ll gain knowledge on how to use her experiences to improve the foster care system for youth, families, and case workers. Other attributes Taniyah is proud of includes being in Black Student Union, the NAACP, Speech and Debate, and leading her basketball team during her senior year. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, listening to music, and trying new foods.
