Sorry i havent blogged in a while just want to tell you of my lasted things what has happened in my life

Last night, with the Herkimer County Community College, Alumni Foundation and the HCCC Gospel Choir we went to four different Nursing home and sung traditional christmas song. I talked to serveral of the elderly people within the four homes and they were glad that we came to sing for them.

so in my life i have alot of obstacles in my life. But like it didnt get me down. Since i was younger it was hard for me to see my family as of who they were because they judged me when i went into the foster care system. I felt like i was alone. so i ran to the church were i grew up and talked to a Pastor.

Last Thursday, I gave a presentation at my college for American Minorities.I was very cool to share my story and experience as a foster kid. During my presetation i talked about how kids are adopted, how many foster kids are in the United States of America, the gay and lesiban community, what is it like to be in foster care, what were some of the problems i faced in high school, and so much more.

in my marriage and family class i talked about adoption. I thought it was very hard for me because when that word comes up flags and barriers comes up.

When Foster Youth are in care sometimes they dont have the information that they can have involvement in their cases. Like for an example, since ive been in care i have had that communication with my caseworkers, my family care specialist, and my law guaridian. I feel like i have communicated and shared what i wanted to happpen in my case and they all were okay with it.

During the holiday time. I usually am like man its christmas again. Due to this time of the holiday. Very Foster care youth around the country suffers from what you call it attachment disorder. I refer to this because of the fact we are put into peoples homes that we have no clue of who they are until we final get there put i find that their is no hope because their is no hope in it.

In the fostercare system today we face many struggles which going from Sibling Connections, Education, and much more. In my life i have struggled with Sibling Connections. I didnt have a a chance to hang out with my brothers during holidays, birthdays, and just regular activities you would do when your growing up with your siblings.
