Toby is a social butterfly, cup stacker, photographer… and a foster kid.
Tobias , a.k.a. “Toby” , entered Michigan’s foster care system at age 12. His family kicked him out of the home because they were unsupportive of his sexual orientation. Quickly learning to live an adult life, he learned to become independent. Seven years later, he aged out of the foster care system. Toby enjoys the newfound life of being a college student majoring in both film and media studies as well as social work. He performs for the school marching band’s ColorGuard. Toby is a social butterfly, cup stacker, photographer… and a foster kid.

Tobias, I have never met you but you are Surely!!!! And when I say this i mean it, an Inspiration!! From hearing your story all the way here in Florida, You are the type of person that this world needs to hear your story! Keep up the amazing stuff!
Toby- I am a Foster Mom to an amazing 3 1/2 year old who I have had placed with me for the last 9 months. I pray I will be able to adopt him. However, most of all if he is placed back with his bio Mom, I pray he is safe, loved and able to have endless opportunities. My worst fear would be he returns home to bio Mom and ends back into foster care several years later. It is so important when I see young men and women, like you, doing so well despite the hardships. What a great outlook on life you have! Good Luck to you! I send you good thoughts, continued strength and positive vibes!
